hi blog

my lovebird finally took a bath since January. Eww. Still Fallout-3-ing like crazy, trying to be a mercenary with good morals this run instead of the Goodie-two-shoes. Whenever a game gives me a choice to be good or evil, and even though the evil choice gives better rewards and is easier to do, I will feel that I'm betraying myself if I select the evil choice. Argh.

Games with a lot of moral choices:
Fallout 3 (in fact the whole game is a bunch of moral choices)
Neverwinter Nights (series)
Baldurs Gate (series)
Mass Effect
Grand Theft Auto (series)

Video games don't have to be gun-blazing without a reason all the time. For example in Fallout3, I can choose to raze a whole camp of Slavers or join the Slavers in finding more "merchandise" or I can just buy the slaves out and free them. If you choose the 3rd option, you do not have to fire a single bullet or kill a single "person". Theres been articles of people completing Fallout3 without having to kill a single person.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh too much games.

Okay. I've been cycling to gym and back recently. Its been so long since I've cycled in the night (11pm). The air is cooling, the road is... quite empty. Got to find time to repair/replace my brakes, busted since 2008...

Fallout 3 again

hi blog

I wished I had a better computer. Heard from my brother that the recent IT fair was selling a Desktop for $800+. And that desktop had much better specifications than ours! Damn... So I've been playing Fallout 3 again. Why? Because they are releasing a series of Downloadable Content. Finished Operation: Anchorage, waiting for The Pitt which will be released on Tuesday 24 March WooHoo!!!

Oh, and my pet parrot decided to change from a Mama bird into its old self - Naughty bird. Now its flying around in the room and it almost flew out of the house recently. Due to my supreme bird catching skills, I managed to stop it before it flew out of the window. Heh. At least my parrot now wakes me up at 8-10am by being noisy.

And whats with my crazy neighbour nowadays? Although he still make a hell lot of vulgar noise, now he even open his window to shout at me when I cycle? wtf. I live on the 6th floor in an "older" generation of HDB flats which do not have lifts on every story. I had to get down to the 5th story (he lives directly under me) to take the lift. So like on Saturday, I carried my bike down the stairs to the 5th floor. While settling my bike down after walking down the stairs, which happen to be right outside his doorsteps, my neighbour opened his door and... @#$^%@!#$^!#@&%!!! at me. As usual, I'll just turn and laugh at him, try to piss him off a little bit more. When I cycle pass my block, he opened his window and spew a bunch of nonsensical vulgur stuff down at me again! Damn, he is middle-aged (30s?) and still so childish... This guy need a trashing.

*Example of what he say

Nabeh Cheebye Bo Lanjiao! Fuck your mother Ka Ne Na!
Bo Lan Jiao! X3
Kan Ne Na, I fuck your mother!
Chao CheeBye Bo lanjiao!

Now this is Hilarious.

V for Verdana!

hi blog

Watched V for Vendetta on my laptop today. It was aired on Channel 5 coincidentally. Bet most of the important parts of the film were censored. Oh crap, and that means... never mind. Hush.

I like the way V speaks. V is just weird, but I guess if anyone had gone through what he did would surely be weird physically or mentally. Love the Guy Fawkes mask, creepy and yet pretty too. The way the parliament house was destroyed is just spectacular, with the Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. Still remembered that the song was used in Risk II computer game's video.

Okay enough of V for Vendetta.

I've been playing Empire: Total War for the whole time. I just love the Total War series. I get to be a Dictator, King, General, Navy Admiral, Petty Taxman, Politician, Diplomat, Trader and yes Conqueror. Wah, and this new installation to the Total War series features the Indian and American theaters. I didn't know that India had such a rich history in warfare and advance technology during that era (1700s). Played as the Maratha(spelling?) Confederacy (Hindu Indians) and fought against the Mugal Empire (Muslim Indians). Damn epic.

I think I'm growing fat. Getting weak due to sitting infront of my computer 1/2 of the day, and sleeping the other 1/2 of the day. hais.

Need to cycle more
Need to train more
Need to eat more... healthily.
Need to sleep more.

Another Chalet

hi blog

Just returned from Tanah Merah SAFRA club yesterday night. Chalet was fun. The place was nice, big and spacious. Only went for 2 days 1 night. The others went for straight 5 days O_O!

Realised that my holidays are ending in a few weeks time. Oh no. I must make use of my time to play like mad! Erm.. of course not.

Change of Taste?

hi blog

I've been listening to old songs recently. You know those songs from Class95FM? yeah 80s-90s period. Doubt most people listen to them now since everyone is listening to some horny genre called R&B. R&B stands for Rhythm & Blues, BUT wheres the freaking blues? All I hear is rhythm and some female/male voice at the back going "uh-huh uh-huh" or just some sexually related themes. Oh yes, and because R&B is definitely not as sick as that, they changed the name! To? Contemporary R&B! omg How creative! *pui*. Ok I think I should stop condemning modern... sick... perverse music industry.

Back to my 80s topic. Been listening to quite a few old hits, like:
True - Spandau Ballet (BEST in my opinion)
Everybody wants to Rule the World - Tears for Fear
Karma Chameleon - Culture Club (I guess everybody knows this)
Another Day in Paradise - Phil Collins (Oh Think Twice...)

Yeah, and lots of Eagles. Lots of feelings in those music. "Right" feelings of course. I don't understand why I like old music so much. Am I old in my heart? Oh no :(. Now I'm Apek Sim. :(. But seriously, theres so much more musical breakthroughs during that era compared to modern times.

Going to the gym soon I guess. Seriously doubting if I can train fast enough for Yr3's NAPFA. My Stamina can be compared to a 120kg obese fat... old man. I can't freaking run for long :(.

back ... from reality

hi blog

What a busy year. Year One of my life in NYP is over. Hope for the best for my results.

Reached home from class chalet at 7am. Washed up and went to bed immediately. Woke up at 5pm later on.

Phew, DownTown East is a dangerous place. I mean, if you are NOT careful. I was looking at a beautiful motorbike at the carpark with my friend. There was a bunch of teenagers walking in our direction to return to their chalet. One of them (definitely drunk) tried to dragged me along forcefully. What do I do naturally when this happen? I pushed back, hard. The drunkard then tried to punch me, which failed and landed his punch on my shoulder softly. Luckily he had a bunch of semi-sober/drunk friends around him, if not I guess he will land himself into deep trouble. Made me freaking pissed.

*one note to self: drunkards can't fight.

That incident spurred me to train more and eat better, gonna teach those r-tards one day. Had a long chat with hongwei during the time at DownTown East, didn't even know that it was 5am.

Going to train tomorrow.
